I sold mine with about the same k's in about the same nick (with prettier mufflers) for about $1500, don't think the value has skyrocketed since then. They do have the novelty factor of being the first production 600, but not sure if that's enough to make them interesting

I put $5500 on it to make a point and create a discussion which it did.

Needs pictures of the actual bike. But I don't see what your problem with it is.

Absolutely agree. Thats why I have kept my Street Triple for so long. There is nothing else on the market that has floated my boat

I'm looking forward to putting my bucket on the Ferry in June and it instantly increasing in value.

Same guy just sold a near stock FXR for 2200, I sold my FXR late last year for 1400 which had had some engine tickling done, I could have tried for 2k on Trademe but I'm not a cunt and I wanted it to go to someone who would actually ride the thing, too many end up in sheds gathering dust...

Trying to get top dollar for your pride and joy doesn't make you a cunt. Asking outrageous money for total shit as has been shown on this thread might make you a cunt.

Yeah I agree there on the top dollar part, in most circumstances that is the case, as a bucketeer we are all supposed to be promoting the sport to get bikes on track. I still broke even on the bike after purchasing it, thrashing it, crashing it then selling it again. This Wellington guy is taking the piss and in my opinion damaging our reputation (Drew would argue that we have no rep though hahaha).
But oh well if someone is willing to pay...

Wow. That's the real definition of trash/ garbage.

I meant the seller, not the bike.

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

Oh dear, read Autech's comments above. Luckily this particular bucket racer doesn't come on here AFAIK.

He may or may not. There's plenty on facebook who've already called him out on it though so I'm sure he wouldn't be surprised by my comments.
I assume most of you would know my real name now anyways so I'm not trying to be a keyboard warrior.

    CUE MOTIVATIONAL SPEECH

My journey into racing showed me there are some very generous people involved in the scene who are trying there hardest to get people out on track. Now I'm not saying everyone should give their bikes away for a song and a dance, but there needs to be a line drawn somewhere I would hope between getting your moneys worth and helping those in the sport. Market value is determined by the market after all.

At the end of the day he and everyone else mentioned in this thread is allowed to ask whatever they want for their bikes, a lot of the bikes link on here don't sell from what I've seen and the $11500 bucket and trailer will most likely fall in that category, I just hope no one searching "Bucket racer" on trademe gets put off and decides not to give it a go, cause if you take 10k off that price you can be out on track racing .
