That Bimota is sooo much better looking than the other one. Still, $33,300 plus shipping plus GST plus plus, I don't think it even makes the Lotto win category.

Do they do a Lifan powered one for the NZ market?
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

Weren't these the Italian armaments industry's answer to the hand grenade? this sort of self propelled, if only briefly?
I've never heard they blew up a lot, but they Mibbee do. They are choked to death by the pipes and injection to meet emissions laws.

We live in one of few countries that are allowed to give the pipes the arse and flash the ECU. I'm led to believe they go like a scalded cat once that's done.

The big issue is that they came with a proprietary EFI system which didnt work either at all or reliably. Apparently if you want to actually use it you convert it to carbs and put Jolly Moto pipes on them and they go fairly well.

There's more engine work than that needed - the crank seals are crap apparently.

I'll introduce you to a chch collector who has one and the two of you can discuss it to your heart's content...

Anyway, I'd be prepared to stand up and argue that a 200 Lifan doesn't make 15% more HP than a CG125...
Apparently 16hp vs 11hp, so 45% more power.

Seriously that bike takes me way back to a CG110 a guy had at a school holiday market gardening job I had when young. I remember fatting along fast down between a row of carrots. Memories like that make guys my age add a bike they don't need or will ride much to their mortgage .....

Might have to shoehorn a bigbore RZ engine into it of course.

Yes from what i understand quality conrol on the cranks is not so good either ,they need new cases for fit new larger decent seals as there is not enough room in the original cases.
Also plus quite a few castings were porous anyway.
The injectors were on the production bikes were wrong as ferarri could supply the original ones used on the prototypes in volume needed for production.
The ECU mapping was an issue more because the maps were not consistant due to the leaking cases providing fueling that was different from bike to bike, even from day to day.
