Been on for awhile, I'd be pretty hesitant with 39,000 and not much info on the history. If it were a 916 sps with half the k's I'd be willing to do just about anything to get it!, recently saw a 1998 916 SPS for $20,000 and it lasted maybe a few days, probably the best example I've seen on trademe. Seems like everyone is hanging onto their 851/888/916's now
Dunno if the seller has his head screwed on correctly though, in the Q & A he's willing to trade a Harley on it

A 888 SPS would be nice to have
All the 916s through to 996 are just fashion statements. It was the 851-888 that put Ducati on the path to where they are today with Lucchinelli & Roache dominating the WSB in the late 80s & early 90s

Roche. Your weed fixation is showing.

The 851-888 are all pretty flawed compared to the 916.

Ducati's are generally one of the best serviced bikes on the planet, and 39k's is bugger all.

    Still wouldn't pay that though....
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

No fixations here sunshine....actually hooking into some 70yr old brandy at present

Any flaws can be ironed out quite easily & they still set the pace for the 916s to follow

It isn't. It goes to a user's own profile.

I can assure you that I'm not your Mrs.

I find it funny looking back at these super bikes - A special edition Ducati with 124 hp in 1999 was cream ones pants stuff.

    Todays equivalent - what 200hp?

Ducati rate my 848 Streetfighter at 132 or something.

I wonder what the electric engines will be pumping out in 15 years or so.

On first glance I though this was a deal - then I searched Tuono, and it appears there are a number of more recent new ones they can't unload for a similar price.

I'm thinking if you are in the market for one and you are not hung up about having the current year ride a sweet deal could be had.

You really don't get it do you - LMAO

I'm not keen on what you're Mrs can do with cell phones ..... I hear stories about how they smuggle them into prisons..... not sure why she'd want to do that to my one though

    Harleys,Ducatis,tractors... same thing

I'd have an 851/888/916 over any modern Ducati(panigale). A few years ago I saw a collector put all his Ducatis on trade me - 851,888 sp4,916 sps, the 888 was $27,000. I'm not much a fan of the newer Ducatis, they betray everything I like about them haha.
