I have a chuckle wondering how many people aren't familiar with what bike you're actually talking about sometimes.

Smart move really - Lexus is now perceived as a brand in it's own right.

Honda tried the same in the USA - I think they called them Saturn cars. Did not take off like Lexus.
Perceived as a Toyota as that is what they are, still they have at least given us Toyota oops I mean Lexus snobs.

But ironically you have demonstrated that an SR500 is far less sought after than a CR500 as no kunt this side of Bad Brad knows what one is. Desirability is another matter.

CR500 - now you are talking.

A SR can't be a real Kawasaki - real Kawasakis have a K in their prefix.

I say what Old Bean! A Honda CR, is the garden variety moto-x bike for the common man, where as, an RC, is the works version, built by HRC, for the Moto-X Gods of the time.

An SR Kawasaki, is Kawasaki's HRC version (SR, standing for *Special Race*) of the garden variety of KX for the common man.

So you see, my SR500 is no dirty Yamaha Diesel I'll have you know, but a hand crafted full on works bike, that neither you nor I, could ever hope to buy back in the day.

    As you were...

Desirability comes at a severe cost. No hair due to pulling it all out whilst trying to find bits for the cunting thing!

One would assume that the fire breathing Kawasaki would potentially be worth more than the Honda then?

Unless all that factory goodness failed to win races ......... must do some Googling.

I'll ask Jacinda - she knows everything apparently.

Everything is only ever worth what someone is willing to pay you.

They (all four they built in 1983) won races on them, but no titles. Kent Howerton raced them in AMA competition, and in Europe, think it was Kurt Nichol and I canne remember the other cunts name.
