My first road bike was one of these, extremely badly reconditioned by Bliss motorcycles in whangarei, it only did a few hundred k's before lunching a main bearing. My first proper introduction to being a bike mechanic. The torsion valve springs were novel too! This is a good example of a bike that looks way better with all its side panels still on, IMO. Uncomfortable to ride but reasonably robust.

Your going to have fun with that ( more than previous owner).

    Err OK I'm confused

64 watchers at time of posting. The same outfit selling this F1 has a few other Dukes (classic, collectables) for similar top end pricing.

Is this a thing now? Are these bikes actually selling for this kind of money? Not mocking the seller despite the thread, serious question to those more involved in the market than I am.

Maybe every SS owner wants to see what it sells for in the hope it drags the later models up.
Heck maybe it' just if I win lotto types.

seems ducati make more numbered collectables than standard bike some days.

The Hailwood replica looks nice if expensive. Not so expensive as to deter 90 plus from having it watchlisted though. I'm wondering if that's not an estate sale? Having them all on sale at the same time could depress the prices a tad.

    I'd give my left nut for a 750 f1. But then, I reckon I'd sell a nut for 20k.

What I would let it go for, and whether or not someone would pay that price is not important for the purpose of my point.
