I viewed a couple of these on UK websites and I think it is a little underpriced for its condition.

He wants me to promise not to sell it (without giving him first option) and also let him borrow it from time to time. I'm cool with that.

All going to plan, I will part with $10 on Sunday, because he' s mate and $9k is too cheap.

    You're a good man.

Not in the same price range but its why I still own my GS550 as well as the CB750. I only want to sell the GS to someone who won't fuck with it. Its not mint by any means but its too good to fuck with half arsed improvements.

And anyone who cafe's a CX500 without cutting the frame to get rid of that hideous rear section isn't doing it properly.

I'd love an XV1000 or XV920 but only if I had the skills to build one with a new subframe, and swingarm and wider rear tyre to match the current-tech front end. And it must have one of those Benelli tanks and a cafe seat.

That actually looks 1/2 good, but you might as well pull the steering head in 10 degrees while he at it.
And I'd still prefer a tail cowl of some period bike, probably a triple.

Appears that way at first. Who knows - if his numbers are correct it is rare.

Which does not always equate to the value. Weird way to run a auction saying it will drop $1k per day.

May be worth that on the world market, ebay is probably the best bet for selling it, if you want something to drive there are much nicer yank tanks for a lot less money.

The 70's really weren't the best period in american car design.......
Riding cheap crappy old bikes badly since 1987

More likely due to lack of use, than being thrashed.

58,000 kms being started moved 1km to the corner store, then back to the garage will stuff it.

All his quoted prices spent sound high.

Paint it white and mount some bull horns up front, then it might be worth something.
