I tend to prefer my Ducati's looking like this.

I quite like the black one. But Ducatis have gone downhill since they stopped making the bevel twin IMO

It was a choice of moving with the times or shut up shop.

The bevel engine is far to labour intensive to make on production line.

This 'beauty' is just waiting for you.
Jumps out of first and no starter....
I can tell you from experience that the worn dogs on 1st will be an expensive exercise as full strip down which will also lead to scope creep decisions like, all new bearings, crank refurbish, rings, possible new pistons, valve guides and so on.

I'd be keen on the personalised plate for about $600

Ducati would not exist today if they stuck to the old bevels. Would have gone like Triumph did before it was resurrected. Or Indian, or Norton or ...........

Interestingly the Paul Smart, GT, Classic trio of Ducatis from the mid 2000's continue to gain in value and look like better investments than the annual array of 'limited' edition Ducatis.
On that note I see they are releasing a 500 run of 25th anniversary Monster 1200's.

Ohh nice sidecover on the blue one. I wouldn't feel embarrassed pulling up to the pub on that one. No sir. Can I have a straw with my beer I can't seem to take my helmet off today.

Yes the sports classics don't seem to come up much for sale.
Despite just being a numbered plaque, a bit of Carbon Fibre and a single seat over the stock SS these are creeping up.

The seat unit on the black one is just a travesty. And who chose that headlight then didn't take it off again?

That black Duc is better than most of the crap that get featured here but what's with the current fad for brown seats?

One of the Brit pundits recently did a resto job on a Ducati - I can't recall but it might have been a Darmah. It was a proper job, everything back to new condition. A guy who spent his life in the engine reconditioning business here told me that too many of the reconditioning jobs on classic cars and bikes are done on the basis, "no shortcut too short".

Mixed feelings about this one. Dated, high mileage, but if you like your late 80's 750 Sports this'd be about as good as it gets. At the same time, since we're talking Ducati's...

Now, maybe not senseless. . . I think that's what a gn125 deserves. Yamaha did the same colour scheme on the midnight special XV.s. it looked just as ghey then.
