IIRC their were dozens of the cars, constantly being cannibalised. Bit of a bummer really, a mythical, genuine General Lee would be a lovely thing to have in the shed. Even with welded doors.

Their are a couple of docos on the moonshine runners who ultimately founded Nascar on youtube, fascinating stuff.

Considering its been restored at 29k miles I would be surprised if its a matching numbets car, its hardly "original" in that paint scheme too so unless it was used in the show I doubt its worth that much.

In which case it could be a real 440 six pack since they had a couple of those amongst the base model shitters. The car I know of sat in a paddock for a while, so restoration makes sense.
