I don't think black seats would preclude you friends wearing arseless chaps and biker caps.
Possibly that is why they are purple - black seats seriously heat up in the sun and if you are wearing arseless chaps, well, that's dinner cooked

You sir are a confusing man. Such taste with the Triumph and old CB, then you dig purple seats ........

I'm a big fan of metal flake paint, so the purple body is fine (needs some contrasting panels IMO) but the seats ......

I'd have thought that was mauve, then again I'm not confident in offering an opinion on colour. I did read that if you even know what colour chartreuse is you're gay. I'm no interior decorator. Beige rulz.

Was at a Billy Connolly show and he exhorted the audience not to be beige people. My reaction?

I don't get trikes. What is the appeal? At least scooters I 'get', even if I think they're stupid. But trikes... like why? why are they a thing?

Nothing beats a moped for a quick trip to town. Sometimes wish I still had one.

Exhaust wrap: that shit looks ugly as Hell. Apparently one argument is that it increases power. I'd need convincing as most of the exhaust systems wearing that crap have been mutilated so as to be likely producing less ponies than standard.

This did however cause me to wonder if, with it being so effective, the MotoGP bikes used exhaust wrap. Sadly the factories are not normally so forthcoming as to let us see such intimate photographs of their machinery.

This photo from Moto2, Catalunya, 2014. "To limit the temperature and ensure performance, some Moto2 teams applied a ceramic coating on the exhaust manifold."

Sure looks a lot neater than fucking exhaust wrap.

HPC coating has been around for 20 years at least. In black you can hardly tell.

It's not the go for 2 strokes though.
