All that really needs changing are the handlebars. And the price. Oh and pull the motor to bits to get the barrels coloured black or back to aluminium. And all the other bits that are red. Actually while it is in bits put stock length forks on it. Oh and get some rear shocks an inch or so longer. I'd lose the front controls too... midmount FTW.
So, yes, a few minor tweaks and you've got yourself a cool-ish old Hardly Ferguson. I reckon for $11k it would be a good buy.

There was an early trials Honda owned locally. Can't say what model but the thing I liked most was that it had been built by HRC and the engine casings were marked accordingly. Apparently the trial bikes were built by HRC for a time. That'd be one of the few ways to get a genuine HRC bike without mortgaging the house.
