The new Tenere 700 twin looks OK, useful and uncomplicated, not too expensive, but I'd need a bloody ladder.

Thats a cool looking bike. Complete orphan presumably. Like you say not $6.5k but I wonder what it will go for.

It looks ok and the splurge might convince some. But ... (by way of comparison) the old CX400 developed (new ) 29.8 kW.

...a real cool looking Honda...if I wanted a cool looking, and performing town bike, this could work...not for that price though...I could buy two vehicles more important to relevant life for that price, and I'd only need one of them...

I've capitalised the issue with your post.

Everyone describes 'performance' differently, and none of them would put that bike in the "performing" category in anything but fuel economy.

" Hi, I've a got a BMW I paid 4K for can you make it cool for me?"

" not really but as all the cool bikes are gone we'll give it a shot"

That was built by Michael Dobson that built Kasper, the K100 race bike around 1985 that I restored a couple of years ago.
He's got a long pedigree & is quite a clever & artistic bloke.

They have made a nice job of it, whatever it is but it always comes back to the same thing. The person spending all that money no longer wants to ride it, doesn't have a museum, and no longer has much interest in it as a result. So they list it in the vague hope they can get their money back...

...you may have capitalised it but you spelt it wrong...and around TOWN there is no need of performance, therefore I reiterate what I first said...a pretty cool little Honda with all the performance necessary for around town...fucking expensive though...
