NZPost Office early to mid 80's: Chevettes, Hillman Hunters, XA Falcon wagon (only one of though)... eventually it was Corollas but the pick of them all was the Ford Sierra wagons we had. They had independent rear suspension I think. I crashed one and took a corner off it which they were not happy about.

It's not a shitter, a lot of time has gone into getting this bike right. He's done a good job and it's not pretending to be the real thing , as he says.

Spelling mistakes piss me off but don't see any this time. Apart from the rarely word. I like the bike. Asking 10k is about right. Hope he get's it...

There was a Xt500 similar vintage on TM by the time you buy a few bits similar money think it was 3500

very tidy but "rarely" is the money spent on modding a bike recouped.
Not my taste with the headlight and mixed age USD and Old XT then supermoto guards, but far better than most brown seat exhaust tape specials ever posted in this thread.

I never said it was a shita. But it is a bitza and the big money goes on std bikes. Modified bikes just never pull as much.
And I've built specials, just aware that it is for the builders vision, don't expect to recoup.

Also as Husa says those forks and that pipe aren't period so you might as well built a KTM which would hose it.

I'm with you on this one. That actually looks to be quite an interesting and potentially useful bike but $10k is rather a lot

What a complete waste of money tho. $14k will get you a brand new KTM690 Enduro and $10 would get you one a few years old.

And Ohlins? Aint no Ohlins like I have ever seen....

This makes me smile. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/mot...ad000640b4-010 in a good way. Kinda liking the smaller 400 and below capacity singles on the market at the moment. https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/mot...e942476810-011

Come to the conclusion new Triumph twins are around $4000 pricier than they should be currently.

And this is certainly over priced https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/mot...03a0d885ed-012 Front wheel is non standard. $1000 it he is lucky.

I did see a nice CB550 Siuper Sportthis morning for around $3500 in ChCh but that looks like it's gone

I am going to start my 750 at $5k over the weekend. I've done a deal on another bike and I dont want to clutter up the shed. I think it might finally be time to call time on my VFR as well. Honestly, given I have limited leisure time, the most fun I have had lately is on my e-mtb (apart from the whole "impaling myself into the scenery" aspect of it.

Sounds very reasonable. Got my eye on a high mileage Kwaka 750 Zepher. Engines been reconned so at least 80-100 1000kms before touching it again apart from regular maintenence. It'll look nice next to the cb550.
