Restore an FJ1200 ... ??? They seldom expire.

A friend of mine (yes I do have a friend) has one with 240,000 on the clock. Valves needed work so the head came off. All clearances were well within spec's ... compression was as per. Head went on and a few more 100,000 still to do ...

They're around ... but nobody notices them. A few modify them ... the rest just ride them.

And that's just the way I like it.

Judging by the Q+A in the trademe ad the owner's feeling rather defensive about his pricing. I'll be curious to see what he eventually sells it for but $15.5k??? Nope, he's on a different plane man

It's funny he put that reference in there, I googled it. Doesn't imply wealth at all rather -

In Arabic, sheik is an honorific title, as in a Saudi oil sheik who makes the business news. Sheik also refers to a specific head of a tribe or family, or a leader in a Muslim community.
Usually, a person is known as a sheikh when he has completed his undergraduate university studies in Islamic studies and is trained in giving lectures.
So he could be wealthy. Or he could just be a leader in a Muslim community or an undergraduate in Islamic studies.

Thats the same dealer with the $11k NC30 (with the wrong livery) and the $15k NC35.

over the top doesnt begin to describe his pricing.

Having said that the GS1200 is well priced
