Three Velocettes on TradeMe? Well, two and a half since one's a special. Who knew there were so many around?

But pretty far from "minor"

I actually really like this VFR800 I stumbled on - lot of bike for $5k https://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/mot...c04e593e47-001

Plus, look at that bitchin colour. Purple is my favourite colour and thats purple metalflake like some 70's long chopper. Do want.
    Looks lowered as well.

There is no good Ducati. They are all overpriced and under deliver.

These are the facts, and they are undisputed.

...I think the Ducati Sogno was comparable to the Leica in quality, just smaller and operated by the left hand...

all ducatis are good Drew, and that's where it stops, as you said overpriced and under deliver as people think they are actually great. as for having one of fifty shit, they produce so many 'collectors items' it blurs into insignificance

When I bought a Ducati I did so in the expectation that it would ask more and deliver less than a Honda. So it was, but it did have its rewards.

Some years back a Ducati engineer was interviewed and commented in respect of Japanese bikes, "We can't compete on price, we can't compete on performance, and we can't compete with some of them on quality."

That doesn't leave much, I guess that's when they start talking "passion".

People buy bikes with their hearts, not their heads. And it would be a very sad day if that ever changed.
You buy a family runabout with your head.
