Kateman sent me a PM saying he was fantasising about me sucking someone's cock. Pretty specific but ya know? Thats a hardly owner for you.
Hey look. Everyone can dream.
Good luck selling your bike.

Doesn't even have the headlight plate and overpoished, which looks good IMO but affects the 'I want it to look like new' crowd.

No wof or reg, overpriced as a commuter, as parts are not common these days.
It isn't a classic just because it's old. There might be a market in Japan for some nostalgic Jap who had one but here they are just a footnote of a small number of dumped imports.
That said I was very thankful for my time on one an ex courier lent me when my 550 needed a crank.

I had a 1980 model as a 19yr old. It was unmanageable in the dirt for a skinny teen. Around town it was epic. But even I could tell on the open road it was asthmatic, and as I stretched my legs wanting to expand my range it had to go.
So if you buy one at some crazy price, how long before you pass it on an lust after that shitty XS1 instead?
Good luck getting your money back hitting buy now on that TT.

check the swingarm and rims. They never looked like that. And that matters if you want top dollar.
To complete the 70s/80s enduro look they had a front number plate for your race numbers.
A hard man that rode one of those in a decent enduro compared to say a period PE175 (my first bike)

So first weekend I had my 500 I went to show it off to a friend and watch the Sunday horrors as we did back then. Had to take a lock as no ignition key. Competition model and all.
She lived out Kaiwharawhara, Hutt road. Left there say 11, got down the hill and the bike runs onto reserve.
Well. . . The XT had a reserve. But being a supposed competition model. . . You had 2 options. On, and Not On.
Was a long push with Trials universal tyres. Ok its 5km but took an age on side of road no much footpath a lot of the way.
