Love the exhaust directly exiting onto the rear disc.

Ironically a bike called a 'Tempter' is actually not that tempting at all.

Is that why they are very rare? No fuker brought them.

Looks like a dreadful LS400 reworked into something marginally better.

I wouldn't mind the front brake 4ls looks like an updated waterbuffalo brake.

Is it one of those "my wife told me to sell the bike so I will list it high cos I dont want to sell it" deals? (we've all done it).

It has to be one of the least 'exciting' bikes I've ever seen. A comfortable and economical commuter maybe, but $12,000? Bugga!

While the price is a long long way off in my opinion (and of course you all as well) I actually like the styling, it definitely has potential for something cool. There's some interesting takes on it in google images.

I've never seen any in NZ. I've never seen any advertising for that model either. I'm guessing they were designed and built for the Japanese local market.

And they probably didn't sell well there. And probably why they are "Rare" in Japan ... and in NZ.

More collectable than desirable ... at the right price. I don't think $12,000 is the right price though.

7yr production run from 1997 to 2003, looks like most were sold in the domestic market and probably a few other Asian countries. Seems to be a few being imported into the UK now.

Apparently they used the Suzuki Savage engine. Unchanged from when it was used in them.

And so it would seem the LS650 is a straight fit (essentially the same engine) so only a few more horses but much more torque.

It would be interesting to find out how much it would cost to import an St400 ...
