    What the Actual Fuck?

Unless he has sold it for sensible money (maybe $10k?) and its just on at $25k so he dosent have to pay the tardme fees.
Jesus, that's a bit out there.

Might be time to chuck my NC30 up for sale if that's the way prices are going.

Not sure if that's actually how prices are going when there's another advertised at half that.

And have a look at how many bikes are festering unsold.

But let's say he has two logons. . . Put up two auctions, disguise one bike and put a crazy price on it. . .

Sometimes predictive text speaks the raw truth.

He's comparing apples and oranges. The 500 gets the money the 400 is a sideshow.

Presactly, if you've ridden a 400 they make a nice inoffensive commuter or learners bike, but nothing more. Wind on the motorway is a serious foe to your progress.

and the 500 was nothing more than a cynical styling exercise using cheap leftovers where possible.

    Oi!!! I bought a 400 brand new in 87!

But you're right. The pick of them was the single seat 400 with the fairing (looks wise). I dont think the 500 was much quicker in my memory of it. I thought at the time it handled pretty well too. It was actually bought for my better half to learn to ride on but she never actually did.

Also I dislike intensely the assignment of gender to any machine. Its just fucking stupid. We aren't French for fucks sake.

But only in New Zealand, for reasons.

They obviously over catered for the domestic market which had weak sales so in time honoured fashion of the 80s and 90s, they were dumped in NZ and sold for a song. The 400s in particular due to the Jap license laws were prolific enough that I remember long lines of them outside Sawyers in both shops.

The Brits got the XBR version but to a Luke warm reception.

I bought mine from Sawyers. First (and one of very few) new bike I have ever bought. Ticked it up too.
