    The motors aren't completely different either. They're just more highly strung in the R than the S.

    According to PB they are different castings, different bore and stroke, ti rods and valves and so forth.... I remember seeing a well used one in a Ducati dealership in Melbourne with full crabon fribe and on slicks and so forth. It turns out that it was owned by Eric Bana who is a massive petrol head.
