Yes it was a make that dated right back to the 20's at least

there was on on TM a 54 same along with a 63 Demon as that was advertised for 7500 each a month or so back.
Dad actually had an 54 Dot , same as that, he restored about 30 years ago that will be going on the market soon.
They had a chrome tank i bet that would be a grand in itself to rechrome.
its an odd bike to ride with the forks rising under braking.
That one would have come with a 197 8E engine with a 4 speed.

forgive the photos the bikes are rather crammed in the shed 4 bay.

The yanks never understood the CB400F that's why it was pensioned off before its time, but it had a cult following in Europe.
It was a nice bike, well balanced, far gruntier and better styled than the dated before it was made CB350F, but personally i would much rather a RD400E
pretty sure we have enough bits to make another 350f including a NOS frame minus the chrome. but the cost vs the reward.

Seeing that Dot reminded me that I should have something here on such machinery. This item is from 1959, and the first motorcycle book I ever bought.

The photo suggests that in 1959 there was still considerable work to be done on tuned two stroke exhaust systems.

    $33k?

really? I mean its cool and all, and there would be a fairly significant amount in a down to the cases motor rebuild, custom fab work and different finishes. But even paying people maybe $20k? Is this the guys business or summat?

    Paying himself perhaps?

    https://vbsco.co.nz/

Looking at the site the more I think he's been telling himself he owns a customising business while pouring money into his bike. Then realised that he'll have to sell it to continue. Products include some baseball caps and not much else. The wife is closing in wondering why she is paying all the bills for the last 2 years.

I am assuming it is road legal, but in that case it must have a front guard?
    Cool to look at but...
