been a long time since I've seen a tidy well priced bike like that. (i'd hang onto it though, it will go up after every other UJM has been caffed and abandoned as a half finished project)

I've ridden it a couple of times but I dont want to keep it - I'll sell it and put the money towards something else. Its that simple. $2500 takes it away. Current WOF and reg on hold.
Nice enough bike but IMO a GS550 was not and will never be cool. Sorry.

Awesome. Look at the quality of the tank and seat. Shedlike
And wtf! So you decide to go the whitewall tyre look. OK I can see that might appeal. But Jebuz, give up if you can't find a matching set!
    White hub. Classy.

Actually the whole premise of marketing with the surfboard just reeks of a sad one dimensional accessory for the not-sure-what-he wannabe . Practicality aside.

    I haven't even looked at the price. . . Please hold. .
Don't you look at my accountant.

it was still a very popular bike in it's day,and a stepping stone to the big bore bikes while the other brands were still selling 'a bit long in the tooth models'

I agree with you both. It was a vast improvement from my TT500 and taught me a lot. Was very fond
d of it at the time.
    But it was never cool.
