The kits have a good reputation for fit and finish, and that one looks well done in terms of paint, seat etc. Plus the bits on it are good too. The problem is the problem with any custom though: its not worth what it cost you, its worth what someone will pay. it seems to me that your Vincents, your Ducati Bevels, your Honda CB750's and the Kwaka 900's are where the big money is if you were doing this as a money maker. Look how difficult it can be for people to on-sell the Pacific Moto bikes (and they are very well and professionally done).

The other thing about those is the rake angle is very weird for a sprots bike even after you put longer shocks on it. And it has the SR400 problem: not enough power to pull the skin off a rice pudding.

Also - rice pudding with cardamom and lemon zest and sultanas. Just saying.

Yep - Well said that man. I actually quite like this particular example and think that it's looks a lot better than some you see but for that much money? Really?

Exactly. Almost all of the 'styling exercises' we see in this thread started out with unsuitable raw material. This particular one is a cut above a GN250 - but not much.

The front details look naff. Bars splayed, headlight instruments mirror etc does not look cohesive. More like "these were laying around so. . . "

But dead on about the base material. After a while the dreary bike will shine through as you make your way back from Makara beach, up the hill and. . . I'm not sure this motorbike thing is for me. Think I'll put it on TardMe when I get home. (Eventually).

Wonder if I could swap it for a Combi van. Or a Citroën.
    And some moustache wax.

All photos from the same side of the bike? That always makes me wonder what the other side is like.

I think this guy wins the thread.
No seriously - given that the guy with the H2a is obviously mental deranged - this is the biggest POS I have seen in 20 years on TM.
