....I remember them when they were new at the PSG ( Public Service Garage) early 80's
They even had some of those big black Daimlers from a Royal Visit.
Most of the guys at the Newmarket Workshops drove the same cars the Govt bought ,as spare parts were um....... subsidised.
    Silly me drove a VW.

Some of these posts bring back a few memories. Late 1970's I drove many tours as lead entourage car which was usually an LTD or Commissioners Statesman.
Usually had the Boss at the time and one other.
Obviously never got to Ram shit out of the way,but secretly deep down was ready to display a few skills hahahaha. Great years and great fun. Those Yank secret service dudes were very serious.

If it weren't for flashbacks...I'd have no memory at all..

Looks like a 'coby' car muffler welded onto a bit of exhaust tube. Heavy. Loud. Looks like shit.

Hey Gary, I also remember when David Lange was PM, we serviced his version of CR1 & I dropped my guts in it, put all the windows up & parked it in the sun for a few hours, never did like him!! Power to the People!!!

Not so much these days. There have been a series of scandals about agents pissed or using prostitutes while on the job. There was a recent incident at the Whitehouse involving pissed Secret Service supervisors driving straight through a road block during a bomb scare.

A week or so back there was some dickhead wandering around the Whitehhouse, even rattling doors to see if he could get in. He wasn't discovered for over 15 minutes.

Trump wants to give them the arse and use his own people, although there may be other reasons for that.

The Secret Service this week asked for an additional sixty million (IIRC) in funding to cover Trumps weekly golf trips. The application was apparently declined.

To be fair I can't tell from the shit photos exactly what I'm looking at, but this seems to be overpriced about $3k if in good condition, but judging from what I can see in the photos its actual value may be next to nothing.

Weird piece of plastic over the number plate - presumably it is supposed to bugger up speed camera photos?
