That's better.
Hmm still just shows the Norton HiRider when I look at tgat link. Others seem to have commented on it so not sure how to change what seems to work for us.

The Norton seems to have vanished. A vast improvement IYKWIM. The top bike on the page now is a 1977 Silver Jubilee Bonneville which possibly qualifies to be here anyway. It has a 'buy now' price of $25,000 on it.

I do not understand these - even after owning (and selling) some Ducatis.
nice looking thing no doubt (though cripplingly uncomfortable for an old fat bloke to ride), fast because red. But nearly $30k? I dont understand. Also there are others that are like $15k as well?
Does anyone know?

But is a replica, well sort of, not really, , of a bike that's worth a lot of money. Surely this is too?

Paul Smarts Imola winning 900SS? Or the thing that won Daytona built by Phil Schilling and Cook Neilsen? (the cooler of the two, no doubt)? I dunno, man. How is it different from an equivalent year 900SS? cast wheels vs spoked but the motors the same? Or is it like those 748/749R where the motors were sandcast and came with Ti rods and valves and were built in the race shop? I have no clue, as you can likely tell.

Some people get caught up in their own emotions on what a value is. Or what they think it should be.
That price is very interesting considering the price on this one.

In total they made about 7200 MHRs
From what I seen they made about 16000 sports classics.
Neither really float my boat.
Give me a 851/888 anyday. They only made about 3200 ish of these.
I thought it was 5k but what ever it is it was smaller then the number of RC30's built so go figure how one of those si worth more then a 1990 SP2 ho,olgation special that was only one of less then 400
The made about 400 Green frame 750ss which are highly prized.
Which is what I think makes people think somehow all Ducatis are collectors items sure to be worth zillions in the future.

Don't know how many YZF750SP they made but no bugger over here knew what they were anyway so I made a special light weight version with mine as never was going to get collector money and I wanted to ride it. Being a Yamaha I did about 48,000km and of course never had to look inside the engine aside from valve check (no shims required) and neither would the next guy.

They made more of them than Darmahs, I sold my MHR Mille about 10 years ago for 20k, I think 40k is probably dreaming and 30-35k more realistic but some of these bikes go for dumb money, I sold my Darmah late nineties for 5.5k and now you'd pay triple for one in the same condition, guys from Oz were buying them to ship back over as they were cheaper here even with freight
