listing expired assume it's Barts gilera from wanganui, he rang me for pricing, i said the only way you'll get that is find dave rush who brought it new and try selling to him. like any rarity you will find one, the world is a small place now. remember a mate had one and he always had someone follow him to alert him when bits had vibrated off...

The 400s are hardly worth anything so this is an insane price . Yes I appreciate he needs a lot for a house deposit these days but that doesnt change what it is.

It is a unique look I'll agree. Did he paint the frame with Hammerite?

"Twin throat webber, unique to this bike - only made in 1988" - is that another way of saying the factory quickly recognised their mistake? I don't think I have ever read anything good about the Weber on Ducatis
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

After the original Pus-Ohh I think they were so desperate to get away from them they went to fuel injection. Probably turned out in their favour to be proficient by WSB bikes relying heavily on the tech.

Nice job however I think I'd rather get a new one with 0Km on it and customise it to my own taste

Yep - A classic example of why you should be wary of spending large amounts of $s personalising your machine. You'll be lucky to see much if any of that money back.

Personally I'd just go and buy a new one and do my own thing with it. Doubtless it's a good machine but it ain't worth anything like that...

Exactly. My bike is set up how I like it but only some of my junk jewellery will come off when I sell it. The CRG mirrors and the Ohlins will come off. The Racetech gold valves, the Givi bags, the carbon fibre hugger, the crash bungs, and the air horn and any other bits and pieces will all stay with the bike. They don't add to the value, they might help sell the bike though.
There is a grey blur, and a green blur. I try to stay on the grey one. - Joey Dunlop
