This one is more a query I guess. I was always told that the Paso wasn't really sought after. Perhaps that's now changed?

The 906 was a lemon, and it looked like a jelly mould CBR600. The 907 had to be sn improvement. But it didn't last for a reason.

I always thought it the other way 'round - that it was Honda following the Italian style.
When did that CBR first break cover? Paso was the 1985 Milan Show.
True that. They sold way more Sport and Supersport. Wikipedia has that only 2303 ie's were sold ( that should ensure an on-going collector's value )

.
I was being a bit cheeky.
That said once again trying to shake the challenging 999 look (and that bike could be argued has come of age to be more cherished than it was) anyhow, the 1098 when released. . . Hmmm. Do I see (contemporary) CBR600 in the front? Yeah, it kinda is.
The sports gave people what they wanted. Just as then the monster was their successful bike whilst the 916 an aspiration.

And I'd like an NSR500V but you know?

A lot must have been lost in. . . Well, I was going to say translation. . The DB1 was pretty. A mate was working on one and it did have a minimalist purposeful air to it.

speaking of which i saw one of the TV ads for "Ride Safer New Zealand" and there was a dude riding a tricolour Ducati F1 750. And I'm all like "OooooOOOOooooooHhhhhhh noice" I presume that I have missed that boat and its out of my price range (also 16 inch wheel by the looks) but damn.
edit: like the one behind this one that the dude wants $45k for.

edit 2: here's a 999 for $9k. Lot of motorbike for not much money. I have always liked the look of them too. https://www.trademe.co.nz/a/motors/m...7?bof=3Web0AdA

Ahh, they probably had to drag it behind on a long rope 1/2 way through.

There was an F1 750 here, semi permanently for sale. Everytime the owner got a serious offer he'd dither for a while then eventually turn it down. I guess the logic was along the lines, "If somebody will pay this much, maybe somebody else will pay more?"
The owner died and I haven't heard what happened to his collection.

I mean they're not magical. Circa 60-65hp with crude suspension.
