What are you after them for?
Don't know if this is what you're looking for, but I've fallen in love with my pair of these, tempted to buy a 2nd (and 3rd) pair in case they stop making them:

It's a boot with ankle, heel and toe armor, which I wear all day at work as 'work shoes'. They're also great general wear boots - my weekend shoe even if I'm not riding.
My only issues with them are that the sole is a bit thin (might need re-soling soonish), and also very flexible. Makes them comfortable to walk in but they could have gone for slightly firmer IMO. Also, they take a minute or two to lace up, because to get them off you need to unthread the first 2 or 3 rows, but other than that... fantastic.

Nice looking boot Milts.![]()
The price is a bit beyond what I was initially thinking.
I have a short commute, just wanting a riding shoe pref with a toe cap/ankle support of some kind. I have a pair of WP Targa Neo for anything longer than the ride to and from work. Studying this year too and don't want to have to carry a change of footwear.
I've heard good things about these TCX X-Street boots, and I know there are a few places in NZ that stock them.

Oh, and if you happen to be a size 12, there was a pair on TradeMe recently that didn't sell and were only $60 with postage included. Ask the seller to relist if keen...

Obviously they didn't sell because he changed the value from $60 to $460 by mistake when relisting. (4 is same key as $)

Yeah I'm a fan ay.
It looks like there's a pretty good range for what you're after. I can absolutely recommend having boots which can be worn as shoes, makes life worlds easier.
IMO if you get a well known brand, you're going to be fine - people will nit-pick differences but I doubt there's anything seriously wrong with any of them. If possible, do try them on first though - or failing that, try on shoes from the same brand to get an idea of their sizing. Stick to that and you should be sweet.
Also, don't forget to post a review!

Axo Striker shoes
Comfy
Has the Boa lace up system
Good protection of the ankle area.
Got mine from Cycletreads a few years ago. About $200 from memory
Yeh, they look 'aiight'. The Boa is cool feature.
Cycletreads don't appear to have them on their website, as a guess prolly upwards of $249, At least $249 is the cost of the TCX X-Street RustyBoot recommended at CT... the Astar & Sidi considerably less with postage.
Been a while since I've been north of the Bombay's I must admit.
I see the Faster are now available from Astar...

I do like the look of the Axo 9-5 it's more of a hiking boot look, if the construction is solid around the toe box I think it could be a winner.![]()
I impulse bought some and they just arrived today, I'll try em on tomorrow and let you know the lace system seems very cool though and works well. I have a pair of A* lace up street boots I recently bought to compare to, they're nice but a little tight in the 10 I usually take so I ordered the 9-5 in a 10.5, will let you know in more detail.
