Wanted old crappy 18" tyre, Hutt or Wellington or Kaitoki

Just posting in this section in case someone has one lying around I can borrow or have. I need a 18" tyre to throw on the back of the dirt bike to do a dyno run or two just to get right range of main without tedious testing on a trail ride and swapping jets in the grass and mud, so it doesn't need to be road legal. It's a 2.15 rim so could probably fit a range of sizes.

anything lying around? I can't make Kaitoki next round (sat) but someone like Malcolm could grab it I'm sure.

I'll check tomorrow to see if we've got anything at work and report back Dave.

18" 2.15 ... I don't think so but I'll look. As long as you don't give it back.

What, your dirt tyres still have lumps on 'em?
Go soothingly on the grease mud, as there lurks the skid demon

All sorted, I happened to have one for my VFR in the shed.

BTW, anyone want a Sport Demon for cheap, 130/80/18 Didn't fit my VFR right, I went for a lower profile in the end, has done about 60km on the road and maybe a few dyno runs soon...

I have an Adventure tire, which is 90% road like if you get stuck.

    err .

72mm bore size, had a 2.something mm min squish clearance & 4* head to piston angle which is heaps & meant 2mm outer & 3mm inner clearance.

Squashed it down to 0.9mm & 1* delta (10* on head). This took the com ratio up to over 15:1 which on a 300 is a bit more than evil. a million cuts later we're down to 13 which is close to std & means I can kick it over & still run it on 95.

Thanks Mal, tyre fit on fine. If I get keen I'll dyno it over the weekend. Must rememebr to change tyre back to a knobbly or the following weekend will be a bit of a wash of no traction & inability to transverse slight inclines.
