Surprisingly inexpensive - Bull-it knee and hip armour

Just had some knee and hip armour for my Bull-it Jeans arrive this arvo. Although spending about $160 on the jeans (over a year ago) the armour was about $43 ex shipping (thanks Motomail).

The motivation to level up came from watching a youtube clip recently from C2W wearing RHOK jeans. He spilled wearing kevlar jeans but he had no armour inserts, the jeans alone didn't protect him from a knee laceration. He seemed to think he would've walked away if he had them.

Bit of an eye opener. Link below with his explanation.

I'm not convinced it would make all that much difference, well at least on my jeans. If I wear MX boots I think the knee pads would stay for bit of a slide but in just ordinary bike boots they'd get pushed out of the way easy as.

I still use em but I'll probably regret not using decent knee pads in an off on the tarmac.
