You looking at sections or houses? Some real cheap sections at Coops, large and fully serviced being sold by a cash strapped developer.

sections...........about all my budget can stretch to at this point...........coopers seems to be a bit to populated for me.....if i'm gonna drive 3 plus hours to get there i don't really want to be in a subdivision with a bunch of other olidaymakers if you know what i mean....but thanks for the heads up

Yep fair enough. But like karikari, tokerau beach, the holidymakers are only there for 2 weeks. Was thinking about these sections in particular. Pretty good value for a huge fully serviced section up a long cul de sac. I can vouch for the 5 min walk too.

I'm sorry - but commemorating the slaughter of colonial troops as cannon fodder in yet another British fuck up hardly seems great ... some of us have just as different an opinion on that day as you do of this day ..

(Yes, I get what happened - and my Grandfather was wounded on the beaches at Gallipoli on April 25 ... I remember with respect ... I get all that ... It was still the slaughter of colonial troops in a great British fuck up)

I can appreciate where you're coming from, I lost my grandfather on my mothers side.
But to me, I look upon it as NZ's awakening as an independant nation. The Screwup at Gallipoli make us look at ourselves and
realise we don't necessarily blindly follow where England goes.
And that was a good thing
