    Why less then 600 600+ is where the evil starts

    I got an er6n on similar requirements and next im thinking fz-09 z1000 or street trip R

    I'd start with an oldish GS500, do the front suspension and brakes, put a sticky front tyre on it. Now you have a very economic bike, more economic than most 250's, and with some decent home made pipes and maybe even swapping out the front end you might get it to look and sound mean.
    Some things are worth dying for, living is one of them.
