Stolen 1982 Yamaha XT550

Reward offered for information leading to the recovery of this bike. Taken in February 2010 from a private dwelling in Nelson. Excellent original condition. Rego 2PLT, chassis & engine # 5Y4000159. Fitted with an alloy muffler & brown tank cover. Have owned this since 1986 & would dearly like it back. Contact Jon (021) 1601383 or the Police.

Sorry for your loss, Why can't people just work and save to get something they want ?
I had one in 1986 too, I loved the bike to bits. I am trying to find another so i can go riding with my adult sons, my youngest boy is restoring an xt400 at the moment and I am helping him with it.
I will be fabricating new parts for it ( qualified engineer fabricator)
I'm looking for a complete bike or enough parts to completely rebuild one and have a spare engine too.

did you get it back ? i didn't realize your post was 2010. I lost a 1982 honda xr200rb reg 57mqo and never saw it again. was my first bike i had.

'why cant people save to get what they want''......tell me about it-had a drop kick gangmember (who I never even knew nor had ever seen before) try his act on me after I offended him with a refusal to have a ride...he then tried to stab me after a some fisto didn't go in his favour.Anyway op if I ever see or smell yr loss I sure will advise-these things surface sooner or later-def not pinched to burry,dont give up!
