I have a mc16 nsr250 and she wont start much and when it does it backfires a bit then runs sweet apart from lacking a bit of power over 7000rpm im lost any idears

start with plugs and carb....

they be gunky i bet!

thanks I did carb last week as it was leaning gas will put in new plugs and go from there thanks

Yep, get some NGK VX plugs for it. Pricey, but they last well (for a 2 stroke plug).
