New scoot in so old scoot out

Ok So I picked up yet another scoot last week.... an 05 (even though advertised and registered as an 07 ) XT660X

One week down and I have already started with the mods, started looking at mechanical but after a week I just had to get rid of the tail and clean it up a bit!!

And now I have to try and sell the KLX650 - kickstarts are definitely not my style

Kickstarting isn't the issue the fact that I need to bounce on the kickstart to get over the compression stroke due to lack of mass hahaha it is a barrel of laughs when it goes

The XT is slightly down on power compared to my usual commuter (05 R1) :-p

But that being said I can make it work quite well on the twisties. Front needs a stiffening up and a few mods to unleash the power but it is addictivley fun and inspires hooliganism whenever possible hahaha

From what I understand... The 07/08/09 XTX & XTR were never bought into NZ because it took so long
to sell the stock of 05 & 06 bikes... not that there was any real change in them other than the ECU to
    smoothen out the surgeing...

go here for any info/mods on the XT660 models =====> http://www.xt660.com/index.php

    Thats all that matters then.
For a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him. Keep an open mind, just dont let your brains fall out.
