Thumbs up Bikers UNITE - Against Cancer!

Looking for bikers of all ages and locations across the country to don their helmets and ride in the name of Cure Kids - supporting child cancer research.

If you can't ride - there are still many things that you can do to support us from donating goods for spot prizes and raffles, helping us get the word out, putting fliers on bikes, putting up posters in your place of work or providing support in organising the rides and / or events and so on.

Huge thanks to BRONZ Wellington for agreeing to provide marshalling for the Wellington component and Carnivore Candy for providing yummy beef jerky for spot prizes!

Be part of the action - post up here with your ideas and suggestions. Currently looking for an organiser for Auckland and Christchurch rides

Target date is 4th May. Check out the FB page here

https://www.facebook.com/Bikersuniteagainstcancer and keep up to date with progress and news.

Wishing you every success with this Chrissy, I would have done the Auckland bit in a heartbeat had I not been starting our new job shortly. I organised a Christchurch Earthquake appeal ride in 2011 with great results, the numbers that turn out to these events are staggering to be honest and the generosity of the people who care, make the effort of putting something like together, worth the while.

Thank you really appreciate the support. The plan is coming together - targeting 4th May for the rides and hope to have one in each centre. If you can contribute or know of anyone that can - please share the FB page or this post

Thanks Mark and good to know. I hope for similar results although I know that people have been very generous already to a cause that I feel very strongly about.

I have set out to raise $25k in total so there will quite a few events, raffles and rides coming up. I have another couple of events in mind involving bikes so watch this space (or the other space on FB)

Once I reach $25k I am going to shave all my hair off. For anyone on here (still) that knows me, will understand from that exactly how committed I am.

If anyone wants to support the push for research into these ghastly cancers affecting our children but can't join us on the ride - please look at donating to my Givealittle site http://www.givealittle.co.nz/cause/MollysResearchFund and sharing the cause - or purchase a raffle ticket when they become available.

Hi all, looking for organisational and marshalling support for Auckland and Christchurch - show us how great your Project management skills are! I will look after the sponsorship side of things for your location but need a team to volunteer to help out. Pretty sorted in Wellington thanks to Brent and Kelly as well as BRONZ (thank you).

Only need one person to start to the ball rolling - BE THAT PERSON

OHHH and for Auckland end event, Mark (FattMax) has offered to play for us - thanks Mark
