so this is the 250 club..

i imagine we would all be interested to know what sort of times the baby racers run.

anyone got a good definitive list of time 0-100, 0-160, 100-0, and 1/4 times

Hard to actually find some, I plan on taking mine to the drags as soon as I finish kitting up the suspension and cam's - maybe a slight overbore, and a new clutch :\.

But generally most 2fiddys run mid/high 14's some hit mid/high 13's - if you did a disposible wheel launch I'd say you could get low 13's easy.

All I can say is my top speeds just a touch above 200k - if that helps.

Really?? I thought a 0-100 of 6 was a more real world (I need my clutch tomorrow) time for a CBR or ZXR.

Pisses me off when I try to go 0-100 as fast as possible. Click into second, go along in gear for a while then it suddenly jumps into neutral

TwoSeven worked out that a CBR/ZXR would reach 100 in roughly 5.5s, and a quarter mile time of about 15s

well with the GSX 0-160 depends on how steep the hill is. Buggered if I know what the real numbers are, just know that it is quick enough to be a whole lotta fun.

I'd hardly be glowing about that. Our family wagon Primera doesn't exactly light anyones fire.

Best bet, find some little tosser with a WRX/EVO/anything japanese and noisy, ask him in front of as many of his skanks as possible how quickly his car does the 1/4 in. Guaranteed he'll says 11s or better (never let truth slow his pace into the white pants of 14yo girls). Line him up, dick him, then you can say you can beat a [insert expensively fast time here] second WRX/Evo.

Of course, the theory might fail if you really did come across a boy who actually had the hardware they claimed to have... but then you'd still win on bang for your bucks.

I dragged more than a few cars on my ZXR250, most things not turbo or 4WD the 250cc ate up, things on par when launched well, slightly modded Legacy/Rex/Evos etc are about the same, the twin turbo legacys are a bit slower off the mark then the singles but most of them reel you in by 160kph, flatmates twin turbo JZA80 supra destroyed me well n truely and madboys ol GSR would scare most things 2 wheeled or not, fuck he could get that thing off the line well and throw it through a corner just as fast, coast road lol.
Alot of the time, most of the boy racers cars will piss on a 250 in a straight line. Unless you get yourself a NSR or RGV, you can get high 11's quite easily out of them 2strokes.

Don't quote me on it but I've seen figures of 5.2s 0-100 and 13.9 1/4 mile on the net somewhere, can't find them now though
    For the CBR250RR, pre 94?

On the way home yesterday from the first aid thingee I tried to play with a WRX - it was a rally replica - with all the stickers and stuff - personalised plate 555 RA and "OVER 400HP" in a message at the bottom.

The guy just put his foot down and took off - looked like a video game - I seriously doubt even a 600 would be able to catch that. I did over 150(meters) an hour but the chap was at least 20-30 meters ahead of me all the time....and we took off from nearly the same spot.

Caught up with them at the next set of lights, turned out to be 2 asian guys grinning like they won lotto ...

I would think a decent 600 hundy would beat that in a straight line no problems... if he is only 20-30m ahead of you on a zzr especially.

What's the bet it is not true 400hp, but that all the stickers add up to 400.
