    And what a sad state of affairs that would be.

    So tell ya what. Put up or shut up. You an MNZ member? If so, get yourself on the board and spend the time trying to keep it (the sport) alive your fucken self aye?

    I've moaned about a couple things over the years I've raced, sure. As a club member it is my right to voice an opinion. I've never felt strongly enough about any of it to try and change it from the top, though I've always known the option was there.

    Wonder if you'll get a reply? I seemed to get ignored when I asked something of a similar question.

    Unintentional wheelstands from accelerating out of a corner or cresting a hill are excepted. Like the photo.

    Yup but popping one to celebrate when you have been warned not to especially on the back strait are not so expected... Thats more for show...... then making shirts the next year saying how you were banned for support and having a wheel standing bike on them is being a cock :P

    So have you retired from doing wheelies on the road like you used to as well? Where it was safer than on the racetrack of course.
    Cheers

    Interesting comments...and having been to Paeroa for quite a few years, only one comment from me;

    Competitor numbers down, spectator numbers way down, gate prices have gone up too fast, and sadly I reckon you can count the number of times Paeroa will see racing again on the fingers of one hand...and you'll have fingers left over.

    Well most likely there'd be a lot less spectators you could clean up when it goes wrong

    Of course not. But I know the consequences of getting caught or crashing, and I accept them.

    It has been said at briefing for years, that wheelies at Paeroa are not tollerated.

    Lance Lowe got fined for doing them a few years ago, I think Frenchy did too. I kept my wheelies for the back straight where I could argue that it was caused by the humps. Got a pretty cool picture of me doing a wheelie, in the Herald the year I raced.

    Talk them into it. It could be a team building exercise or something.

    Hope not, that was rather entertaining, regardless of whether it's within the rules of the event...

    The parade lap this year was cool, made up somewhat for the shortened event.
