Just reqd the article and this sort of shit pisses me off. Need to find the scum sucking bottom dweller and pull their fingernails out slowly and painfully while breaking their arms and legs! Same sort of assholes who steal from ambos and fireys while they are working. Just the lowest of the low

The police are moistening their bus tickets as we speak!
    Justice shall be served!

The Courts will dish out some serious community service for that.
Bring back Stocks in the town centre, I'd even go to Countdown and get some tomatoes.
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

Oh, just fuck off with the anti police shit for once. Use that one brain cell you have and consider the wee fact that police only CATCH the criminals. Limp wristed judges are the ones waving the bus tickets.
I think you'd find many motor cycle riding police who would love to see REAL punishment dished out to oxygen thieves like this.

no, they dont, which is a large portion of my gripe with the institution.

but not the cage driving police, eh? They would not love to see real punishment, eh?

How well has that punishment system worked for y'all, anyway? Crime must be about gone, cos everyones scared of the punishment, right?

That's just downright low of the scumbag who took the bike... String him up by the balls!

Honestly, when is this country going to stop handholding and cuddling crims? Rehabilitation, yes okay... But tough laws first, then we worry about Timmy's bad upbringing!

The problem is that it costs more to lock people up than it does to dish out an ineffective fine that won't be paid or put them on home detention to play xbox all day and make their parents/partner do all their work for them.

Yes ,we could make prison a really harsh cheap place like in Thailand or Indonesia, but it looks to me the harsher the prison environment the less socialised people are when they come out. In effect you make the problem worse - they either get socialised to the prison environemt (so don't fear going back), or are so brutalised they just don't fear anything (which is IMHO the cause of some of our violent crime already - being brutalised in the family environment).
