What were those blind fuck witnesses at the crash scene standing around and doing?

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

Guess the witnesses/helpers were helping the victim, not babysitting the bike. I've had some offs, and the bike has been put on the side of the road with the keys still in it cos I'm considered more important to look after. But fecken hell, you don't expect the bloody bike to go missing in that short time before the Police get there. I hope the feckin low life gets caught, named and shamed.

Why don't we send school kids to visit a prison that looks like one of those from Thailand or Indonesia and make them think that's what they'll get if they break the law? Right now they know that prison or home detention is a joke. Traumatise/intimidate those young hearts and minds before they turn hard core?

As for being brutalised in the family environment, those who are doing the brutalising should be the ones populating this 'showcase' prison...

I was just saying to a fellow rider colleague that if any there were riders, they'd know to move the bike to a safe location and remove the key, as well as care for the fallen rider. Other motorists would only be concerned about the victim...

Was surprised how the bike could still be ridden away... No broken levers or pedals?

For those of you on facebook the Avondale Neighbourhood Policing Unit has published the details along with a photo of the bike.

    https://www.facebook.com/AvondaleNPT?fref=ts

If you are not then here it is:

We are equally appalled at the behaviour of some people...how low can one go?? Thanks for the feedback asking for the registration number. It is 36ZTH - it's coloured black and silver, and will have crash damage. If you see it being ridden around, call 111 straight away, or if you have information on where it is, call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111

I would expect that it was nicked by someone with a trailer. After a crash, what happens to the bike? It goes away on a trailer, and that's probably why no one noticed... and you'd have to be pretty dumb to ride around on a bike that's just been crashed... potentially bent forks, handlebars, levers etc... So I would say it's in someone's garage being broken down for parts by now. Anyway, it's horrible that someone would take advantage of a situation like that. Hope someone steals something of theirs the next time they're vulnerable...

That wouldn't work. Those places are nicer than the house they live in now.

So we just let them continue their life of crime, making life hell for all their victims? The real answer is to punish repeat offenders severely enough that they no longer want to offend. Otherwise, some mob justice would work nicely.

No it wouldn't Akzle, least not in the short term.
Butt, in the long run it would because there are still more honest law abiding citizens out there than criminally inclined arseholes and if we did start making sure we took them out of the gene pool as we found them, those left would quickly adapt or simply be removed as they came up.Problem solved.
Having said that, try getting all of the different groups out there to agree that this sort of action needs to be taken and suddenly there'd have to be special pardons for poor downtrodden, badly raised, family violated knuckle draggers who deserve another chance?????? because!
I'm all for an eye for an eye and for one law for all.
    Simple really.
Every day above ground is a good day!:
