In-ear bud phones recommendation.

as title. Ive murdered 3 pair of skull candies and a sennheiser (cable and connections mainly)
then my bro turned up with some twin driver jobbies, bout hunnit an fiddy quid, says he.
And i reckon theyre a bit of alright, but i dont live in quid land and dont internets shopping, so, brand and prices of what you use and where in kiwiland to get em.
If less than 50$ probably dont bother, or more than 300 and if youre not a naudiophile then just post titty pics.

You've clearly said in ear, so I'm going to ignore that and tell you to get a pair of Sen HD-25's. They're the old school Atom Bomb proof Nokias of the headphone world.

What exactly is happening to the cables? Are you trying to find a set that won't have the same problems or just wanting to try something different?

Shures seem to have a good rep. The SE425's and 215's are on tardme. Never used them though.

I just got some Koss thingies from TradeMe for $20 - they wrap around your ears, and the speaker projects forward inside the ear. Just tried them out this morning on my walk/run - it's a whole new world, I didn't know what I was missing with my in ear plugs. I used to hear just some homogeneous sound, but now can hear every instrument and every voice in a harmony. The cables look like shit, but at least they are black, so I won't get mistaken for an ipod user.

yea, theyll totally fit under my helmet

i have a bad habit of slamming them in car doors, dropping them under 200 cows on the race, wrapping pto shafts with them... Abuse really.
The worst of it comes from plug, where wire bends/ in my pocket. Has failed on a couple pairs...

internet consensus seems to be shure, sehnhs or a couple brands beyerdynamic and etymotic. Anyone with them?

Shures looking likely atm...

And when you're not wearing them you could probably use it to do some casual midget/jockey taxi service or something.

IMO get the isolating Shures and nab one of those extender/coil things to go on the end so you just have to replace that next time. If you get real excited about it all you could probably do that to a set you already have easily, but no doubt you already know that and can't be fawked!

Don't know about the ety's but there ain't enough beyers over here to get a half decent price compared to the Shures.
Sony do some pretty good ones as well I've been told.

I have a 25% hearing impairment, fuck all will bring back the sounds of my youth. My hearing aids are Bluetooth, if I could afford the ransom Siemens demands, they would supply my music, and boost the levels I'm missing. That's a point, go for Bluetooth, no wires the break then. They have ones that clip behind the ears too - someone is doing $1 reserves with them on TM.
