    I used to know a guy in Stratford who ran a V8 drag bike, Steve Windmill was his name, the bike was the Widow Maker, if memory serves me correct, I think it was an Alcohol fueled 350 Chev.
    The last time I saw Steve would have been 1984- 85.

    His bike was a bit like Grandad's axe, it was crashed and rebuilt that many times . I saw him run at the Santa Pod drag strip in the UK in the late 60's. He lost control just after launching and put it into the Armco. Broke a few ribs if I remember correctly. Sounded fantastic.
