Yep - seen em in 1984
You ride a TDM, a very good bike....the VL, in a word.....rubbish. Leave it where it is in my opinion

I've got miserly tourettes and I don't give a fuck.
Can you post pics? My Google skills failed me on this.
Sticking to the back roads
five buck and a bag of chips!
Just make sure it's a 750 not a 700cc version [Harley enacted a USA trade import tax to protect it's market share in 1982] which lead to all major manufactures making 700cc models to beat the tax.
Honda tried to follow Yamaha's VMax in style , why would you?
They have realy bad oil flow to the valve train, there are mods you can make, to solve this problem, I had a sabre for a short while, but I just figured it was to much of a head ach, there was a 1100 version.
Just found the manual for this thing.
Its a VF,, not a VL as I was told....
The manual says its 700 cc, but I think its a 750
There is also an interceptor,, which was a thou.
And that is the honest truth your honour..
There were a few 700's brought into NZ and even 1 in Manurewa looked ok in candy apple red.
Honda,s vf700 , 79hp supermagnas were made in 1987 and the vf750, 81hp supermagnas were made in 1988 . Their is very little difference in performance or top speeds between the two. I do prefer my cali supermagna to the thunderace I use to have . cheers.
