2014 Suzuki DL1000

Very different bikes to ride for sure. The Buell is far rougher around the edges for want of a better term. Some of the Brazilian market ones (Buell) that were imported run a bit hairy. See what I did there! If a lot of your stuff is one up and or around town more often than not...I'd do a DL650. But for open road stuff thenew DL1000 for sure. It feels nothing like it's older brother to me.

Suzuki only tend to do that with older models or extra stock they want/need to move. Pretty rare they do it with new models.

Well the old one was $17000.00...and I for one think the new one is way more than 3k better. I'm looking forward to getting it out in the wet and trying this fan dangled TC. Brain can't make it work in the dry.

The problem is that when I bought mine, Suzuki were discounting the shit out of them - $13,995 at one stage.
I guess when you compare it to an 1190ADV at 27k, it's not too bad.

with a ABS Triumph 800 at $17995 I think the Dl is overpriced, with the dollar high I think the DL could be should be priced better.

Fact is Susuki do do it and do it regulary so its always a bit of pot luck, not good brand management.

Perhaps you can tell us what specifically the new model has to justify the higher price?
