Don't know about train to Sepang, there is a train to the airport. But my mate and I went 3 years ago and we just took a bus each day from the main train station in KL to the track. Air conditioned and cost about $20NZD each way. Staying in the city is heaps better. Get out and have a look around the markets etc each night. The public transport is really good in KL so very easy to get around and so so cheap. The track is really good and yes definately book seats in the main straight grandstand. We thought the best viewing was about halfway down on the back straight side. That way you can see nearly half the track and there is a video there too. Also watching right on the final corner on the Friday was pretty cool. Get some good photos looking down on the track from there. Make sure you take ear plugs. The acoustics of the grandstand are terrible!
