Do you just go for it - or hold your breath when you go down?

that gap between two trucks when you're filtering through traffic.

I find I hold my breath - just by reflex...

    You?

Yeah, found I held my breath this morning when a large ridge in the seal appeared just as a large B-train decided to shift toward me...

Had visions of losing the front wheel on the ridge and sliding into/under the truck...

    Lucky...

Yea, holding my breath and holding my tongue in that funny good luck way. You know what I mean
To every man upon this earth
    Death cometh sooner or late
And how can a man die better
    Than facing fearful odds
For the ashes of his fathers
And the temples of his Gods

sometimes I hold my breath, but if it's really too bad, I tell her to go have a shower and come back

as for going thru traffic, I make myself breath calmly. The slower you can make everything around you go, the more control you can maintain. Plus the more reaction/thinking/adrenalin etc you can muster for when you need it most.. I guess it increases the reaction/error margin slightly

Yesterday I held my breath between two STATIONARY buses...and then when through thought to myself (and said out loud in my helmet), "well, Nomes, let's not do that again in a hurry okay?", "Okay!").

    And haven't since.

Breathe relaxed at all times. Only hold my breath under heavy brakes.

Never filter between moving traffic and if they're trucks/buses, make 100% sure they're still going to be stantionary till after I've emerged out in front of them.
90% of the time spent writing this post was spent thinking of something witty to say. It may have been wasted.

As for traffic don't get into a situation you can't see a way out of.

Squeezing my sholders together is another good one which I do quite often.

I've been known to hold my breath - accompanied by a slight tightening of certain muscles close to the seat of my pants!
Yes, I am pedantic about spelling and grammar so get used to it!

Speaking in terms of lane splitting in traffic, its simple. My brain calculates the risks in a mathematical format in my subconscious. After that I don't have to worry about a thing. I either blast through there or I don't. Nothing to think about or to hold your breath over really.. Whenever I stop to think, I always get myself into trouble.
