The only way a plane disappears is when there is a sudden or catastrophic failure of all communication or a sudden or catastrophic failure of the structure.
Any other scenarios would have initiated communication between pilot and traffic control and /or home base
Either we are not being told the whole story or things went wrong so fast no one on board had time to react

Yes.
Could be.
They have smoke detectors fitted, and fire suppression equipment. Even with a fire there's still enough redundant communications to communicate with ATC.
Minor compared to a hull loss.
Sweet. What do you fly?
Indeed. Also in terms of two passengers apparently traveling on stolen passports, only time will reveal whether that was a factor.
Who knows until the experts have been able to complete their investigations. Just sad all round that the actions of some can have a devastating effect on all on board an aircraft. (And those "some" could be maintenance personnel, passengers with a grudge or mission ...) Oil slicks of up to 15km long don't sound good though.
Yep, is a bit sad and probably, from 35,000feet they aren,t looking for survivors.
Only a Rat can win a Rat Race!
Things get very heated on there with all the "experts", many of whom are armchair pilots, with quite a few real pilots mixed in. It's funny reading about some of the stuff that happens in the cockpit that the passengers don't know about.
Here's a thread about drunk pax.
Fuck you, round eye! These days there's as much chance the pilots are caucasians as they'd be other nationalities, especially long haul routes...
Yeah sure, the majority of air crashes in the history of commercial aviation can be attributed to pilot error of the slant-eyed kind...
Besides, they're investigating two suspicious passengers who embarked with false passports.
