As a side note: I flew Malaysian Air via KL last year.

Outstanding plane, greats service, and far stricter security than most airports I have visited.

This disaster would NOT stop me flying with them again; especially if they reduced their prices as a result of the fear factor

Why ... the planes disappearance seems more to do with one of the pilots actions ... more than anything else.

Ha ha, if they reduced their prices I would be even more inclined to fly with them. You can't take this one random incident and extrapolate it that far. FFS, I am surprised you ride a motorbike with that attitude.

    Beer typing again.

I would be happy to fly Malaysian Airlines again, no problem.
(An Airbus rather than a Boing though)

You are most likely at greater risk of "pilot meltdown" every time you travel with another driver on the road plus you are surounded by potential nutters the whole time!

Go fuck your self you are a dreamer. I cant think of any euro pilot that has committed hari kari with a load of paying customers on board but to date there have been several Asians that have. wake up and smell the coffee dork, their culture even treat suicide as doing the honourable thing.

I for one hope he has made a mistake and the plane is found, either by luck or by judgement. Finding the plane is the only chance the families and loved ones will ever have any chance of eventually moving on from this tragedy.

Plus one, for everyone concerned, especially the pilots.

I think this pilot or pilots, has/have been very clever. Not in an admirable way but clever nonetheless.

Nah, you're just thinking Japanese for that kinda attitude, mate...

AND you obviously have no clue of the Malay culture. Talk to any non-Malay Malaysians (you probably don't know that there are three main races in that country, right? Malay, Chinese and Indian), and then you'll understand (if you want to)...

You are wrong - 24 American pilots have done it in the last decade ..

    Go here

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/m...m_national_pop

None were flying commercial jets - but one day it will happen ..

Aye, the ocean is full of wubbish.

I guess we'll never know if the pilot was in on it or not.

Even at that the family's didn't seem too happy that the debris had been found. Confusing times all round I guess.

Fuck yeah. Look what got washed into it after the tsunami in Japan! He surely must've been.
