Assuming it did go down past Aussie, how come no one noticed? i doubt it is a common flight path for any plane.

Indonesia has the large population base ... but not that far advanced with the amount of Hi-tech gear to pose a real and sustained threat.

I think Malaysian feeling about Indonesia is more of mistrust than fear. The Muslim hardliners in Indonesia tend to embarrass the Malaysian Muslim based Government.

They haven't found the plane yet (with any degree of certainty) ... so it's hard to say who missed it ... (or why)

PS it looks like air traffic control relies on the transponder signature for location, so i guess with the transponders turned off.
To civilian radar it would be invisible............
The battery in the blackbox radar would also be near exhausted by now..............
