I warn you - once you ride it you will want it. I rode mine in December not thinking about a new bike. When i got off it i knew i had to have it. Took my a couple of months to convince the missus of the necessity, but it's an awesome bike. so much fun with a great engine and superb chassis.

there's a good forum or two (aprilliaforum.com and tuonozone.com) with a lot of knowledgeable and helpful people. the bikes do have a couple of issues that are easily sorted - there's a couple of dodgy wiring connectors that are easily bypassed, it will eat batteries (about 12 to 18 months) and the standard exhaust is he-uge (as you can see on mine http://www.apriliaforum.com/forums/s...=1#post3577755), but apart from that they are pretty reliable according to my research.

This is an ongoing situation, made so by a bank account that resolutely refuses to contain sufficient funds to allow me to do anything useful.

The Tuono I found... It's definitely an option. The guy who has it knows he has someone seriously interested (me!) but isn't playing a hard game. The price is very reasonable. As said, it is WoF'd but it'll need new tyres and brakes in the near-ish future. No rego, but that's on hold, so the only issue there is the ongoing financial one.

If I can get the money together - and I'll not string the seller along if I can't - then I've no problem with it sitting in my garage while I sort the other details. I can clean it with a toothbrush and make it all nice and shiny.
