Pretty good, tho did a slow back-country ride today out to the Nikau Caves, my shoulder got really sore!!
That is the shoulder that I could get operated on in an estimated 7-8 hour operation, but my physio said it would take 12 months to come rite from ...if ever
So we have turned the op down... just need to exercise and strengthen it.
Looking for work now.. mm not much happening tho....
yup, they take ages! altho' it helps if they operate on the right part(don't ask!)
i took the RF out for a squirt last night; finally got another rear, since a mate punctured my other tyre & also wanted to bed in new rear pads.
was my first ride on her in 3-ish mths; can't believe what i used to get up to on that bike!! i even managed to get the 'box humming by getting my gear changes mixed up (i'd put it back to 'standard pattern' for my mate, but forgot!)![]()

Or not.
Ok, i 'fess up...
Gonna be at a mate's "beer 'n pizza" b'day bash...

First of all, yes iam alive!
Second, so is the zx6- wey heyheyhey!!!!
Did a trackday on thursday as a warmup to sitting my race license which is at the end of the month and damn i wish you vegas lads would come out here to have a go on this track its freakin awesome!!
First things first eh?
Rocked up to the track nice and early (ie, 45mins late) pulled into the pits and looked UP at the track. Yes, up, barbagallo raceway is cut into a hillside- over 50m elevation, the only flat bit is the start/finish straight.
Did my first of 6 20min sessions at a leisurely pace due to tyres sitting round for a year, and learning how to ride again also figuring out where the track went. then second session started trying to find the lines which is interesting as half are blind. You turn into the turn one sweeper, then make your way up hill, flick left then right then a quick stab on the brakes for the deceptively long, steep uphill lefty. then flick right which apexs at the crest of the hill and plunge down into "the basin" which is another tricky sweeper which exits uphill, the g forces pushing your head into your neck is a new one to me!
Then you're up over the top again at the top of 5th and with a bit of wheel wobble over the crest, shoot downhill to the bottom and drop the anchors at 260 odd clicks to tip it into a fast right hander onto the start/finish- UNREAL!!!!
I managed to lap unusually consistently once I got the hang of bike and bitumen, acting like a complete robber at the front of the medium group
I now see why they called them "diesels" when motogp went four stroke- the zx6 doesn't have the punch of my old 250, but it just pulls and a quick look at the speedo shows it is actually a fair bit quicker at the top end. Riding at race pace is comparitively easy too, I was shot after 6 laps on the TZ but all day on the zx6 I was never tired and folding myself onto the bike is like a laz-e-boy in comparison!
Whats news with you fellas, are ya doing the winter series again paul? Still fixing everyone elses bikes gavin?
Take it easy![]()
Too Fast to Live, Too Young to Die
The bird's up for sale. I'm self employed now, so can't afford to break myself on a motorcycle now, gotta ride slow (sounds like a good excuse anyway).
Soon enough will be well and truly attached to a ball and chain. Fun times indeed.
Happy B'day Jay!
I've pre-ordered me an IoM dvd to celebrate your special day![]()
