I tried really hard to get back to Oko in time for dinner but I was still in Coroglen pub when dinner time rolled around so we ate there then battled the wind & rain to get home at 11pm. Few hold ups along the way, stopped at a gas station to shelter from the worst of a torrential down-pour, came across a car that had skidded off the road so had to stop & check it out, no one in it but 3 young fullas walking about half a k down the road. Had to stop at texmo's crash corner, first time I'd been back there since. Had to stop at Bethlem to stretch cos I started to cease up but at least it fined up for the last leg back to Vegas. Had an awesome day but have to replace chain & sprockets before I can ride again
Will try and get down to Hennesseys one of these Thursdays.

    Ok, couple lessons learnt!
But sounds like everyone's keen for a ride-out somewhere/sometime soon, so we'll work somethin' out...

Who's keen to meet up a bit earlier, go for a ticky-tour, then return to Hennesseys?

Goblin-does this give you enough warning to get the kids&bike sorted?

    Ride and BBQ

    Ok Vegasites:

meet up at 5.45pm at BP Koutu (Bikeforce one?),leave at 6pm.

we'll finalise our itinerary there&then, but Waikite Valley, road up to Mamaku, Oturoa Rd, 'round the lake etc... are all possibilities.

AND/BUT, instead of going to Hennesseys, coming back to mine for a feed.
    (ETA back at mine, @7ish...?)

we could open it up to families as well; some of you have kids, i have a playground next door...could make a soiree of it all.

before we start organising BBQ type food etc, i'm keen to know who's keen...

    what say you?

Yes I am keen but may not be back from Turangi in time.
Will phone you tomorrow afternoon if I'm to be there.
Really need to have a 3-4 days notice at least on these gettogethers or rides to give people time to organise.
Should start putting some rides together 2-3 weeks away and post them.
Anyway I'm digressing a bit sorry.
